My Income Streams
My primary income stream. I work with Bluewater Cruising, helping aspiring cruisers get out on the water — from planning passages to building the confidence to cast off. It's the perfect blend of expertise and location independence.
My YouTube channel and Instagram have been part of my income since the early sailing days. Brand partnerships, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships with gear and travel companies I genuinely use.

My Principles
The most reliable remote income comes from deep expertise that people will pay for regardless of where you are. Build skills that are rare and valuable.
I started building my remote income while still on the boat, with bad Wi-Fi and a rolling deck. Waiting for perfect conditions means waiting forever.
A single employer can fire you. Three income streams working together create resilience. Diversify your income the same way you diversify your sailing routes.
Get honest about what your freedom actually costs. Then build toward that number with intention. It's almost always less than you think.
The Real Talk
The Instagram version of remote work looks like me typing on a laptop with a perfect view and a cold brew. The reality is bad Wi-Fi in Nosara, taking coaching calls with howler monkeys in the background, and sometimes working from a parking lot because it's the only place with signal.
I share both versions here — because the beautiful moments are real, and so are the frustrating ones. Building a location-independent income takes longer than the internet suggests, costs more than you expect, and requires a level of self-discipline that nobody warns you about.
But it's worth it. Completely, entirely, unambiguously worth it.
